Perhaps it was when I began working in print design after starting my career as a graphic designer in web design, but there was a time when I used to hate paper. I’ve experienced quite the 180, even going as far as ordering paper samples from manufacturers like Neenah and Domtar.
Adding fuel to this obsession, my kids got me a very awesome Origami Fold-A-Day desk calendar- 100 Extraordinary Examples of Paper Art [Web Designer Depot]
- Origami Blog
- Cubeecraft – Free Papercraft Toys (not quite origami, but just as fun and they make your desk look really cool!)
- How to make an Origami Gift Box [YouTube]
- Origami Group on Flickr
Stay tuned in 2010, as I will try to post more about origami throughout the year, including favorite models, great paper, and other links, videos and inspiration for you paperphiles. Happy folding, and watch out for papercuts!

I’m glad you like the origami blue bird I drew, ‘bet you’d like my flickr paper toy set:

lots of the paper toy designers put blank templates on their web site so other artists can draw their own designs on them.
I LOVE paper too! – For Origami – “Onion skin” paper is delightful to use, it is so light weight and folds a great crisp fold – the blue bird above was printed out on onion skin paper and then folded.
