The driver’s side window to my Nissan Xterra is broken–stuck in the down position–so I have not been driving it. As a result, combined with a dose of nasty winter weather yesterday, a stray cat has found a nice shelter.
Our neighborhood is home to many stray cats, all of which have a strong desire to hang out on our front porch. But it baffles me that out of 5 or 6 strays, why is it the fattest and hairiest cat who needs to take shelter from the elements?
The more the merrier, I say! But I hate to break it to them. I will be getting the window fixed before the week is over.

Bro! That is freaking awesome. That cat looks mean as hell.
I’m just glad you installed that litter box in the back… You did remember to install the litter box right?
looks like a multicolored version of a tabby we inherited to our back porch a while back…same weird ‘whatchu gonna do about it?’ expression on his face and everything.
We have two cats. Our biggest, Toby, is about 28 lbs (yes 28 lbs) he has medium length white fur – and sheds like a you know what.
Toby LOVES car rides, but its been years since he was last allowed in the car. Whenever he gets the chance he will get in and hang out, leaving a nice white mess. Often if we leave the windows open, even just a couple inches, he will climb up on the roof and manage to get into the car – not sure how he does it with all that bulk – must be in cahoots with Santa.
There is nothing I hate more than seeing muddy footprints all over my nice clean car and a pile of cat hair on the drivers seat.
We had a garage sale once, and he jumped into a few cars of thrifty shoppers… I should have let them drive away with him. Oh well – next time.
